LUCKY 17 |
3 ON 3 |
| |
3 0n 3 rules: |
| All games will be played on half ice ( like a basketball court) |
| Remember this is 3 on 3, so each team has two lines of 6 players. All line changes must take |
| place on the fly. No line change after a goal. |
| Substitute players will be on the bench. |
| The game format is similar to a Basketball half court game. Every change of possession needs to |
| be taken out side of the blue line and that team needs to reenter the zones on-sides. |
| The offensive team needs to make two passes before it can shoot on the net. If they shoot prior to |
| two passes it results in a change of possession and the new team restarts outside of blue line. |
| If the defensive team is able to steal the puck, they have to skate or pass the puck over the blue |
| line and make two passes before attempting to score.( However, the original team can work to |
| regain possession of the puck before it leave the zone. Should they regain control, they may |
| attempt to score immediately, 2 passes are not required in this instance. |
| A puck shot or unintentionally carried out of the zone by either team results in a change of |
| possession. |
| All players must CLEAR the zone with FULL PUCK POSSESSION. |
| The goalie cannot freeze the puck. Should the goalie cover the puck, all players must back away |
| quickly (3,4 feet) allowing the goalie to clear the puck.Once the goalie clear the puck it's a free |
| PUCK to be contested by both team, again all players must clear the zone and make two passes |
| before attacking. |
| After a goal, the puck is immediately taken outside the zone and remain in the possession of the |
| team who score. Remember all skater must go over the blue line, and make two passes before |
| attacking to score again. |
| An instructor/coach will officiate the game. |
| Offside will be called, resulting in a change of possession. |
| Penalties will be call. An immediate PENALTY SHOT will be awarded to the player fouled. |
| The puck will be place on the blue line for the penalty shot, all players ( both team) must quickly |
| take a position on 1 knee by the red line. These players may all reactivate as the fouled player |
| passes the top of the circles. Play is live from that point on ( the puck may be rebounded and |
| scored or collected by the defensive team. |
| Any player consistently being called for penalties will be subject to program discipline. |
| Fighting will not be tolerated. Intense play is required of all players, as is respect for teammates |
| opponents, SPORTSMANSHIP IS AN ABSOLUTE AND NON NEGOTIABLE. |
